RANI MAMA - Essential-oil-free moisturiser For Body, Belly, Lips and Hands with Rose and Kokum
This natural body balm is a rich moisturiser for dry skin areas, for mum & bub, and for sun-damaged skin and lips. It is lightly scented with luxurious rose wax and contains rare botanical butters from India. We call it our "rough diamond", as it feels amazing on the skin but is a bit grainy compared to our other balms.
The Rani Mama balm does not contain essential oils, so it's perfect for pregnant or breastfeeding women, sensitive skins, and for babies and children.
It's also free of sweet almond oil to make it suitable for babies or children with topical almond allergies.
Texture:
Rich, a bit grainy, the balm melts easily on the skin and feels divine on any dry skin areas!
Of all our balms, this one has the roughest texture due to the use of hard rose wax and sal (shorea) Indian butter in the formula. If you'd prefer a smoother balm, we recommend the body gourmand balm instead.
Scent:
Strong rose fragrance from the vegan rose wax used in the balm. Free of essential oils or additional fragrances.
This is the essential-oil-free version of a similar body balm, Flower Duet. They both share the same base formulation and core ingredients, but Flower Duet contains essential oils while Rani Mama does not. Both balms have a strong rose aroma.
Appearance:
White balm with uneven tones. Some batches may have a light frosting appearance on the top when first opened.
About the ingredients
Rani Mama is part of our Indian balms and contains traditional ingredients from India.
Kokum butter is a solid fat obtained from cold pressing the seeds of the Garcinia indicia tree - also referred to as goa butter. It is often used in traditional products to soften skin, restore elasticity and heal ulcerations and fissures of lips, hands and soles of feet.
Sal (shorea) butter is a cold-pressed butter obtained from the seeds of Shorea Robusta, also known as the Sal Tree. Rich in Stearic and Oleic fatty acids, Shorea (Sal) Butter is an excellent conditioner for skin and hair restoring softness and elasticity. It is believed to provide soothing and anti-inflammation properties.

Rani Mama
"Rani" means Queen, and it perfectly fits the luxurious experience of this balm.
We formulated it to provide a light floral, rose-scented, alternative to those who wish to purchase scented balms but can't do that, due to the use of essential oils.
We used vegan rose wax, an expensive and rarely used ingredient, to give Rani Mama it's unique signature scent. Enjoy!
We are an australian family business
All our products are handmade with love in Melbourne, Australia.
We are very passionate about supporting the local economy. That's why all our ingredients are sourced from Australian companies, and all our labels are also supplied and printed by an Australian company.
Eco friendly packaging
We focus on using quality, re-usable or recyclable packaging.
Unfortunately, most dispensing systems, such as essential oil dripolators and glass pumps, end up in landfil. That's why many of our products are sold with a choice of closure: you can order the dispensing system you'd like the first time, and then re-use it for your next product.
The majority of skincare products use plastic labels. These also end up in landfil or break down in the ocean into micro-plastics. That's why all our labels are made of sustainably-sourced paper and are recyclable and biodegradable.
We do not use any plastic when packing your order.
